PeeWee & Middle School

#1 son Bryson Westbrook with
cheerleader friend.
So, your kindergarten son is begging you to play football at 5-years-old? Well, that is exactly what my son did. And, it’s all good. Even if it’s not flag-football, like I once thought. Full pads, helmets, cleats, and attitude. That’s a lot for 5 & 6 year olds. My son, and eventually sons, dove for football like some kids dive into macaroni and cheese. Head first!

Or, has your son reached middle school and you can no longer put off the football pleas? It’s still good. There are worse things he could be signing up for ~ football is positive energy that can build his character and develop his teamwork skills.

Be prepared to enjoy this time with your son as it can be over in a blink. I also know the rewards of investing time with your child, and watching him grow through the process. I realize some mamas are stretched to the outer limits ~ especially single mamas. I’ve been in your shoes. I understand how very hard it can be, and that’s why I started this website.

I’ll be posting hints, helps, and suggestions to assist you through these years, but I’d love for you to be part of the conversation, so jump right in with comments at any time. And feel free to e-mail me whenever you need to vent!
